There's Nothing in it!
When?
Monday, February 15 at 7:30PM
Where?
Who?
Martin Robbins
What's the talk about?
What's the harm of homeopathy? What happened when Robbins took on the British Homeopathic Association? What happens when you poke a homeopath? What does the select committee report on homeopathy mean? Why are homeopaths setting up shop in Africa? Are journalists really that annoying? What is the future of alt-med? And how do skeptics get their messages across to the public? What happens when you pitch a collection of angry French scientists against the British homeopathic establishment?
In a talk framed around the view from the 10:23 bunker, Robbins and special guests will cast a critical eye over homeopathy; describe the campaign's love-hate relationship with a difficult media; dissect the reactions from homeopaths; and examine the aftermath of the world's biggest mass-suicide failure to date in an effort to see where homeopathy and skepticism go from here, and what lessons skeptics can learn about tackling the weird and wonderful world of alternative medicine.
Martin Robbins is a freelance journalist and editor of The Lay Scientist. He worked as press officer for the 10:23 campaign as well as conducting a damning investigation into the British Homeopathic Association, to be published ahead of 10:23.
